Trigger Warning: The following write-up contains references to the Cowboys, which some people might find unsettling.
"I hate Dallas. Go Cowboys!" [Dallas] --Uliana~S
"I really hate the Cowboys but this is a no-brainer pick." [Dallas] --Balck
"Picking the Cowboys is like picking herpes over syphilis." [Dallas] --Kahl
A lot of emotional trauma this week for those forced to pick the Cowboys. But they were rewarded for their pain. Lots of predictable winners in Week Two. A nice, quiet week if you stayed away from the Lions and Broncos.
It looks like we're coming in around 440 players this year. That could provide a nice solid payday to help anyone in the business suffering from the strikes.
Looking ahead, the NFL has created a tricky situation for Ducey Pool planners. Some late-season games will be moved off Sunday to Friday or Saturday. For those games, the teams will become ineligible for picking. It happened last season to those lucky enough to last that long. It's not fun if you have been planning all season to use a team then, but it is the same challenge for everyone. And it's another unpredictable wrinkle in an already unpredictable league. Enjoy! |
