APPROXIMATE Pick Totals for Week 1

"Is it a problem that 'Bo Nix' and 'throw picks' rhymes?" [Denver] --Olson~K

Not this week.

"Week 1 sucks. But hey, so does weeks 2-17, so whatever." [Arizona] --Goldfinger2

Not this year.

In fact, a lot was different this year than last year. In 2024, 259 players took a Week One loss. This year it was only 11. The bandwagon rolled strongly out of the station. Let's hope this is a sign of things to come, so that we all get to remember what it's like to be in the Ducey Pool in October.

Big change this year if you make it to Week 18 (in either the main or Second Chance Pool). The deadline for making Week 18 picks is going to be on SATURDAY so that all games that weekend can be available. It will be one half-hour before the first kickoff. Mark your calendars and set your reminders now.

Also, as you can see above, the Second Chance Pool will start on Week 14 this year. I assume we'll have the usual number of players out by then, not the overwhelming majority of players as in 2024.
